Skiing and snowboarding
Given Slovenia's Alpine situation, cold winters and the Slovene's love of the outdoors, it is not surprising that Skiing is a national pasttime.

In the mountainous areas of Slovenia you will find many small local pistes which are used for recreation and for training the many ski teams that exist across the country. Črna has its own piste which has flood lighting and snow making facilities. This piste is one of the main training grounds in the local area since it has very reliable conditions. Although the Črna piste is not extensive, it is ideal for taking lessons, whether you are a beginner or an improver. |

During good winters there are many off piste opportunities around the area. There is a route that takes you from the top of the Petzen resort all the way back to Črna, which is a run of around 12 km. This is an amazing experience, but a guide is necessary. |

- Petzen is 20 minutes away, just into Austra and has something for everyone. The longest run is 12 kilometers
- Rogla which has very reliable conditions and is perfect for skiers or boarders up to the intermedite ability level. Rogla is about 1 hour from Črna
- Kranska Gora is about 1 hour 15 minutes away and is Slovenia's best location where championship racing often takes place
- Maribor has the longest floodlit piste in Europe and is about 1 hour away from Črna
