Rock climbing

Slovenia, as in most of Europe, has a mixture of valley and mountain crags, composed of good quality limestone. Unlike some parts of Europe, the routes tend not to be overused and polished, and there are dozens of sport crags with thousands of routes to choose from. |
|
A single guidebook is available that covers all of these crags, which can be bought from the Climb Slovenia
shop. Our accommodation is centrally located and is well placed for a number of venues, covering all grades and environments. Here are a few high points to help you choose your venue.

You can get lots more useful information from the Climb Slovenia site. Details of the crags around Črna can be found here and here. |
|
Traveling to the northwest of Slovenia will take you to Triglav national park which is dominated by Triglav at 2863m. It takes about 1 hour 15 minutes to travel there from Črna. There are many valley crags in Triglav, but if you venture there, its really a hike up Triglav or a climb up its "stena" (face) that you ought to be aiming for.
